letting off the happiness

Bright Eyes played the Malkin Bowl last night.

Gruff Rhys opened the show. The Super Furry Animals singer did a solo set that included the use of a voice distorter and looper. He also sang a few songs in Welsh.

There were a few comedic moments during his set. The one guy that yelled out "I wanna cut myself" was pretty hilar.

Bright Eyes played a tight set that displayed the skills of singer-songwriter Conor Oberst. Conor played with a lot of emotion and his supporting cast did a great job. They also used some instruments such as an accordian, violin , keyboards, and slide guitar during their performance.

Some highlights from the 1hr 20min set included Train Under Water, Poison Oak, Old Soul Song, and Lover I Don't Have To Love.
